Seasonal Reminder
Citizens are reminded that Section 170 (12) of the Highway Traffic Act prohibits the parking or standing of vehicles on any road when it will interfere with winter operations. Citizens are also reminded that Section 181 of the Highway Traffic Act prohibits any person from depositing snow or ice on a public roadway. This would include the placing of snow on roads to accommodate snowmobiles or skiing activities.
Our Public Works team strives to keep our roads safe and clear. Their other duties include many diverse and unrecognized tasks, from assisting with set up, tear down and clean up of various community events, to aiding in the maintenance of storm sewers, boat ramps, docks, beaches, trails and facilities.
