The Town of Kearney webpage may not provide the most updated fire rating. The most updated and current Forest Fire Rating Boards can be found at the Kearney Community Centre located at 8 Main St., Kearney

Daytime burning is strictly prohibited, and only allowed by issuance of a license from the Fire Chief.   Paul Schaefer (705) 636-7402

Setting off fireworks and sky lanterns is not allowed in Kearney and is strictly prohibited. See By-Law 2018-24 for more information.

Fire Permits – Required from April 1st to October 31st

The Town of Kearney requires that property owners obtain a fire permit before proceeding with any outdoor fires.

Three day permits can be obtained at the following locations:

Kearney Community Centre8 Main St., Kearney
Kearney Fire Hall111 Main St. Kearney
Kearney General Store98 Main St., Kearney
Fetterley’s Garage1770 Highway 518 East, Kearney
Rickward’s Small Motors Inc.1914 Hwy 518, Kearney
Full-season permits can be obtained at the:
Kearney Fire Hall.
